PARTICIPATE IN THE BIG GIVE! SUPPORT GLOBAL HEALTH @ CAL!
How might we change the world? How can we prepare students to be the global health leaders of tomorrow? How might we harness the potential of public health enthusiasts — so that, in the future, they can make meaningful contributions to improve maternal health and reduce mortality in children? How can we stave off emerging infectious threats or mitigate the impacts on human health due to climate change? And, how do we make meaningful improvements to the quality of our health policies and systems?
At the UC Berkeley Center for Global Public Health (School of Public Health), the answers to these questions reveal themselves in our educational endeavors, as we nurture our students through experiential mentoring and a wide-array of learning opportunities. The strength of merging global health sciences and practice, at it’s core, is it’s people. Every summer we send 10-12 fellows overseas, giving them the opportunity to work alongside local scientists and residents in other countries and learn how to successfully engage in global health research, policy, and action. Help us meet our $50,000 goal!
