The Peder Sather Center for Advanced Study supports collaborative research and scholarly exchanges between researchers at the University of California, Berkeley and researchers at eight participating Norwegian academic institutions.
The Center is launching it’s second annual funding competition and invites faculty across the campus to submit proposals for grants. It is expected that the Center will give out multiple grants between $5K and $75K for a total of around $700K.These grants can be used to fund activities such as workshops, mini-conferences, PhD student exchanges, postdoctoral fellow exchanges, as well as the undertaking of exploratory and pilot studies. Applications in any field of research will be considered for funding and the Center welcomes applications from across the disciplinary spectrum.
