Alton Mpungu is a second year Master of Development Practice (MDP) graduate student at the University of California, Berkeley.  His primary interests are in social entrepreneurship, use of community knowledge and social systems to improve health outcomes in under-served populations, especially those targeting adolescents and the youth.   Alton earned his BA in Biological Sciences with an emphasis on immunology from University of Chicago.  Prior to enrolling in the MDP, he worked as a Program Manager at World Education Inc ’s Bantwana Initiative to mitigate HIV/AIDS in Zimbabwe.
